The school administration shall have the right to designate which type of dress or appearance disrupts or detracts from the educational program. Students must comply with the dress code rules.
- Boulder City High School requires the wearing of shoes with soles that provide for safety (no slippers).
- Shirts and blouses must display no skin between the bottom of the shirt/blouse and the top of the pants or skirt and must not display cleavage. Garments that show the midriff or undergarments when you move or sit should not be worn to school. Pants are not allowed to sag or to show undergarments.
- All attire must be hemmed and at least fingertip length. If shorts are worn they must be hemmed and without fray. No ripped or torn jeans or cloths with holes.
- No transparent, see through, bare midriff shirts/blouses, tank tops, muscle shirts, strapless, spaghetti straps, low cut or open back clothing is allowed. All sleeveless shirts must have straps at least three inches, front to back.
- Wearing of headgear on campus is prohibited except for authorized activities and sports. This includes hats, beanies, hoods, bandanas and sweatbands.
- Dress identified as an indication of gangs or gang involvement is prohibited.
- No sunglasses, gloves or mittens are to be worn inside a building.
- No slogans or advertising on clothing, which by their controversial or obscene nature disrupts the educational setting are allowed on campus. This includes any clothing, which advertises alcoholic beverages, tobacco or drugs.
- No clothing, bracelets, rings, earrings, belts, gloves or jewelry that have spikes are to be worn. Chains on wallets are not permitted.
- Hairstyles or hair colors and facial jewelry that create a disruption in the classroom or become a health or safety hazard, are not permitted.
- Our dress code prohibits the wearing of any attire that is disruptive to the educational setting of Boulder City High School.
