Grading Policy and Citizenship Rubric

Under CCSD Regulation 5121, the Clark County School District and Boulder City High School are committed to student success by embodying the core values of equity, accountability, and high expectations for ALL students.  We are committed to ensuring grades are an equitable and accurate reflection of student learning through sound grading practices.  The updated grading regulation includes the utilization of a balanced grading scale, separation of academic achievement and learner behaviors, and guidance for providing students additional opportunities to demonstrate mastery through reassessment opportunities.  At Boulder City High School we know that for students to be truly College or Career Ready, citizenship requires more than preparing them to take and pass tests, meet graduation requirements and be eligible for postsecondary opportunities. Our College/Career Readiness citizenship rubric was created to help students develop the soft skills necessary for college and/or career success.

Plan for Testing Administration & Security

The manual, in accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 390.250 through 390.430, inclusive, is designed for the District test director, school principals, and school test coordinators. Test security procedures must be understood and adhered to by all District and school personnel involved in test administration or the handling of materials related to state assessments. Unless otherwise stated, test security procedures apply to all state-mandated test administrations, including actual (live), as well as field and pilot tests.
